Look at it this way.

Let's go for a walk. You and me and your children. And some friends of mine.

So you ask 'Where are we going? Who are we going with? How long will it take? Are there any steep hills to climb?

Will the children cope?

You want to meet our travelling companions; introductions are easily done. And I get out a map to show you where we might go. There are alternative routes available; there are alternative destinations. Do you want to go the short easy way or the long difficult route?

But it is your call, not mine.
