As you and your spouse are separating, then you need to be aware of the legal and other costs of the process as well as personal cost to you and your family. In the first and second presentations you saw a description of the various legal processes in which you might become involved, and the way in which they might be managed.

Each of you has to manage your transition from being married to being separated, but matters are not going to be settled as swiftly as you would like them resolved. There is a time scale and you need to be aware of it.

But it is your ability and that of your spouse to plan ahead for the adjustments necessary for the change that is going to happen, that will decide the timescale.
